By delivering business presentations and highlighting their profiles, the Networking session is the real-time gathering of business connection for all participants.

    Childhood Comic Corporation, Taiwan / General Manager
    The Jhuge-Shiro comic series created by Mr. Yeh Hong-Chia is a common childhood memory of Taiwanese generations born from 1940s to the 1960s. In the song "Childhood" by Lo Da-Yu, “Jhuge-Shiro and the Demon Society, who took the sword in the end”has been extremely popular. Childhood Comic Corporation received the complete IP authorization of Jhuge-Shiro, and strived to collect, restore, archive, promote and publish the cultural assets, and participate in new cultural creations such as theatrical productions, animations, and TV programs.

    Haru Publisher, Indonesia / Editor
    Haru Group or Haru Publisher is a publishing company that publishes novels in Indonesia. The company was found in 2011 by Lia Indra and his brother, Andry Setiawan. Haru Publisher generally publishes novels originating from South Korea, Japan and China. Among them, the majority of books that published by them are Korean novels. The korean wave reached its peak popularity in the early 2010. According to Lia Indra, the popularity of Korean music in Indonesia prompted her to find out whether Korean books were also available in Indonesia. Haru Publisher also has several imprints (subdivisions of publishers) that specialize in publishing books from certain regions, such as Spring Publisher which publishes Western books, and Inari Publisher which publishes Indonesian books.

    Tunué, Italy / Foreign Rights Manager
    Tunue publishes graphic novels, illustrated books, essays and novels. Since 2015 it has been taking back to bookstores and comics stores the former Disney series Monster Allergy. Since 2016 it has been republishing the works of illustration master Shaun Tan. Two titles of its fiction series, Stalin + Bianca by Iacopo Barison and Dalle rovine by Luciano Funetta, have been enlisted for the Italian most important literary prize, the Premio Strega, in 2015 and 2016. Tunue also brought to Italy important authors such as Paco Roca, Tony Sandoval and David Rubin. In the last few years, Tunue has been introducing its works to the international market and now several titles of its catalogue are published in other countries such as the USA, Spain, France, Russia, Poland and others.

    Belgian Comic Strip Center, Belgian / IT & Multimedia Manager
    The non-profit organization “Belgian Comic Strip Center” was created in 1984. It is a private initiative, composed of French-speaking and Dutch-speaking members. Half of them originate from the comic strips world or professional associations of comic strip artists. The Belgian Comic Strip Center opened its doors as “Comic Art Museum Brussels”to the public in 1989. With more than 700 comic strip authors, Belgium has more comic strip artists per square kilometer than any other country in the world. This impressive museum became one of the main attractions of Brussels in no time. Every year more than 200,000 visitors come here to explore 4200 m² of permanent and temporary exhibitions. The Belgian Comic Strip Center's aims are twofold: to promote the comic strip as a valuable cultural medium and to maintain the Art Nouveau architecture which it is housed in.

    Busan Global Webtoon Center has been operated by the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency since 2017, supported by the Busan Metropolitan Government and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The Webtoon Center is largely divided into an exhibition hall and a writer's room. The Writer's Room consists of 20 rooms and houses 44 cartoonists in Busan and Gyeongnam. The exhibition hall consists of two floors: a permanent exhibition hall, a webtoon experience hall and a cartoon cafe. In addition, the Busan Global Webtoon Center serves as the center of the cartoon industry in Busan and Gyeongnam through support projects such as supporting the creation of webtoon writers and hosting the "Busan Webtoon Festival".

    MeteorStreams Inc. manages and produces comic artists in Japan. It does sales, promotions, negotiations and event planning instead of all creators. MeteorStreams Inc. also holds an annual huge comic event every November called "Tokyo & Kitakyushu International Comic Festival". We always have over 100 comic creators (Artists, writers, Inkers, Cover Artists and etc.) from all over the world in our Artist Alley. At the main stage with a big projector, Japanese legend comic artists to young generations comic artists are show up and perform a live-drawing and talk session every year.

    The Toronto Comic Arts Festival takes place at Toronto Reference Library and surrounding venues in the Bloor/Yonge neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is a celebration of comics and graphic novels and their creators, which culminates in a two-day exhibition and vendor fair featuring hundreds of comics creators from around the world. Other festival events include readings, interviews, panels, workshops, gallery shows, art installations, and much more.

    The bd BOUM festival develops a literary event that participates in the dissemination and promotion of the comic strip by fostering meetings between works, authors and audiences. It is a cultural event focusing on the ninth art in France.
    Since February 2015, bd BOUM has opened the Maison de la BD. It is located in the heart of historic Blois, a unique place in the Center-Val de Loire Region. This place, seat of the association, has a triple mission: educating the ninth art, offering exhibitions of original works, and developing the creation with the workshop of authors and local residences.

    Angoulême International Comics Festival is the leading French comic book festival and the second largest in Europe in terms of awareness and participation rates.
    It takes place every year at the end of January since 1974 and combines exhibitions, debates, meetings, signing sessions and an awards ceremony.
    The 47th edition will take place from 01/30 to 02/02 2020
